Quick commerce is fast changing the reshaping consumer expectations.  in India by offering speedy and convenient service. This topic is quite interesting to me as an student interested in business management. The rise of quick commerce services is being propelled by the lifestyle of people living in urban areas coupled with the digitalization of the country.

The rapid expansion of these quick commerce platforms stems from the elasticity of their products and service with regard to consumer demand for convenience. Through the use of micro-warehousing, analytical tools, and optimized supply chains, businesses can achieve short lead times in deliveries. These businesses differentiate themselves through  speed, variety of products, and service delivery. Sustainability has been questioned due to high costs of operation, thin profit margins, and dependence on external financing. The pricing strategy of many players in the industry focuses on market penetration at the expense of profitability, meaning that this is a case of penetration pricing.

Rapid commerce in India is a business model that promises high growth but also carries risks. Despite being able to address the dynamic needs of consumers, its future success hinges on efficiency. In my opinion, the key to sustainable development will be finding the right balance between growth and profitability.
